Are you a high school teacher interested in teaching cybersecurity to your students and would like to help them build a foundation in what cybersecurity means? In this session we will explore how the GenCyber@Pitt program engages teachers in many hands-on activities designed to help them grow professionally and prepare them to engage with their students in cybersecurity topics. You will get an overview of the topics discussed in the program, hear from program participants, and learn how to submit an application to join the next cohort of high school teachers. You will also learn where to find resources for teaching age-appropriate cybersecurity lessons to high school students and have the opportunity to join our regional Cybersecurity Teacher Learning Community and connect/network with existing members to ensure the continuous readiness of high school teachers to incorporate cybersecurity in their schools.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the cybersecurity means different things to different people/organizations
2. Learn about the GenCyber@Pitt program (PD) for high school teachers
3. Learn where to find resources for teaching cybersecurity to high school students
